VW Check engine light is gone
Yesterday, I changed the $17 temperature sensor in inside my fuel injection pump - took less than 10 minutes. The sensor was failing and giving me a check engine light. Had some help from some other TDI owners that came over to Nelson's shop for a reactor demo. Thing is, I decided to do it myself because the VW dealer won't open the pump - they'll only replace the entire unit - for $1200, plus labor. So between a how-to guide I found online, a mail order part, and the help of some guys I'd never met before, I saved $1183. The internet is pretty cool. One of the guys was from Providence and brought his parner, who happens to be a real estate broker, so that might be handy.Posted 5 years, 4 months ago on September 26, 2005
