2nd Qualifying Exam
So I got my second qualifying exam this morning. Should be a sizeable chunk of the introduction for my dissertation.
Review scientific literature on food intake and food preference in humans including socioeconomic, cultural, sociological, psychological, psychobiological, etc for the last 10 years.
1) Summarize the analytical procedures most commonly used in these studies. Evaluate the strengths and weaknesses of these procedures.
2) Identify "new" methods, not commonly used that could hold promise for the future of the field of research in food intake and food preference. Describe these methods, their potential application, strengths and assumptions.
3) Using existing studies, discuss how the application of new statistical methods could have improved the utility of the study findings. Within this response, indicate where data quality falls short and enhanced quantitative data analysis would not improve the validity of the study findings.
Should be a piece of cake...
